Supercharge Your BodyTite™ Procedure with Morpheus8

When BodyTite™ was approved by the FDA in 2016, it changed our understanding of how much you can tighten loose skin without formal surgery. Before that, industry-leading devices like Thermage® or Smartlipo™ would give only a 10-15% improvement in skin tightness. Now, BodyTite™ has changed the game. Right from the start, it delivered up to a 30% improvement in skin tightness! BodyTite™ completely transformed the way we approach the treatment of loose skin and gave us the middle-ground option that our patients had been asking for.

Fast forward to 2019: InMode (maker of BodyTite™) released a new device called Morpheus8. Based on a similar platform as BodyTite™, this device was intended to fill in the gaps that BodyTite™ and FaceTite™ didn’t specifically address, including the treatment of fine lines, sun-damaged skin, and general skin aging. Morpheus8 was primarily meant to work on the deeper layers of the skin.

Once the Morpheus8 was released, our office and other InMode training sites started to experiment with combination procedures. Our first taste of success came from combining FaceTite™ and Morpheus8 for treatment of the face and neck. Known as EmbraceRF™, this is a great option for those of you who want to treat your lower face and neck aging, but you prefer an alternative to facelift and neck lift surgeries.

Our success with EmbraceRF™ lead us to consider other combination procedures. It was only a matter of time before we started to combine Morpheus8 and BodyTite™ treatments. What we discovered (especially for the belly) surpassed even our most bullish of predictions: when combined with BodyTite™, Morpheus8 supercharged our skin tightening results.

This video shows BodyTite™ and Morpheus8 in action for one of our patients. The patient wanted to treat and tighten the loose skin around her belly. At her 3-month follow up, the amount of skin tightening achieved was truly remarkable—greater than 30% improvement, per our clinical exam. Because we were able to supercharge the procedure with Morpheus8, this transformation went from good to great!

More About BodyTite™ and Morpheus8

Morpheus8 and BodyTite™ both use bipolar radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin. The difference is that Morpheus8 works on the outside of the skin, while BodyTite™ works underneath the skin. By using these devices together, you can sandwich the unwanted loose skin with radiofrequency energy and cause an immense amount of skin tightening.

BodyTite™ has an amazing ability to simultaneously tighten loose skin and get rid of pesky pockets of fat. It is an awake in-office procedure, so you don’t have to deal with all the headaches of formal surgery. In a little over one hour, you can transform almost any problem area of your body that isn’t responding to diet and exercise.

A few more things about BodyTite™:

  • It is a great middle-ground option when you are not a candidate or you would prefer to avoid formal surgery like a tummy tuck or brachioplasty.
  • Comfort during the procedure is maintained with local anesthesia.
  • Recovery is much quicker than after formal surgery.
  • You can expect the final results by 6 months after treatment, but some changes are evident right away.
  • The data shows that that you can tighten skin up to 30% with BodyTite™ alone, which is much better than competitive devices and treatments.

Morpheus8 primarily treats sun-damaged skin and loose skin that is aged. The technical description is that it is a “fractional subdermal adipose remodeling device” (SARD). In non-medical speak, this just means that unlike most other devices that superficially tighten and rejuvenate the skin, the Morpheus8 device works on the deepest layer of skin and the most superficial layer of fat. During treatment, the energy is delivered in a fractionated pattern that allows for the quickest and safest recovery.

A few more things about Morpheus8:

  • It works great as a standalone treatment to improve the appearance of your skin.
  • The depth of treatment can be adjusted to tailor to a specific anatomic area.
  • It has the potential to mold superficial skin even on its deeper settings.
